Things you can do to make the ACA a stronger organization:

  1. Become a member or make sure that your membership is current
  2. Check the “rides” tab on the ACA website and attend a ride today, tomorrow, or later this week
  3. Become a ride host. Take the Hosted Ride leader training where the ACA will teach everything you need to know to lead a "no drop" ride. Contact rides [dot] chairataustincycling [dot] org for more information.
  4. Submit your ride ideas to rides [dot] chairataustincycling [dot] org
  5. Volunteer to start a classic ride.  Show up 30 minutes before the ride to pass out maps and get people signed in.  Have a rider meeting (the ACA has a one page outline of what needs to be covered) and start the ride.
  6. Bike rodeo and helmet fit volunteers. This task usually takes a few (two to six) hours, and you will be taught everything you need to know at the time.  Contact staffataustincycling [dot] org for more information.
  7. We are also looking for committee volunteers including the Legislative Liaison Committee, the Education Committee, the Ride Committee, the Volunteer Committee and the Armadillo Hill Country Classic committee.

If any of these look interesting to you or if there's something else you'd like to do but don't know if the time commitment would be too great or you just need more info, please email the club at <staffataustincycling [dot] org>.
