Group Riding Skills

If you are planning on riding the 2012 BPMS150 from Houston to Austin or any of the other mass rides coming up as temperatures cool, you should enjoy our Group Riding Skills class.  The class will help you become comfortable riding for two days with 13,000 of your closest friends…and the emphasis is on close.

The class will focus on group communication skills, avoidance maneuvers, and safe and efficient paceline techniques.  The class lasts approximately two hours in the parking lot of the Tony Burger Center and will be held if we have at least nine students signed up for the date and time.  The class is $35 per person and, for those of you who are required to attend the class by your team, you will get a certificate of completion to show your team captain that you have completed the course.

Assuming class minimums are met, we will offer this class four times before the BPMS150 on the following dates.  The classes will be held from 8:00 – 10:00 A.M. on Saturday mornings, but we are flexible on the dates and times if you have a whole team that needs to schedule a private class (subject to class minimums).

Requirements for the class include a working bicycle with functioning brakes, helmet, and water.

There are currently no  classes scheduled.
