Traffic on 183 got you bummed? You've got three options: (Note how all options involve leaving early)
- Leave early and don't alter your route. Maybe there won't be much of a delay at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning. (dream on, dude)
- Leave early and approach Liberty Hill the way folks from Georgetown do it. By turning onto Hwy 29 from I-35 near Georgetown. It'll take you right by the Liberty Hill High School.
- Leave early approaching from Austin as if you were planning on driving up US 183 from Austin but take the following detour just past 620:
- Follow US 183 until the freeway ends and goes to stop lights. At the second stop light (Lakeline) take a LT.
- Follow Lakeline until it deadends into Crystal Falls Parkway.
- Turn RT on Crystal Falls Parkway and return to US 183 (second light on Crystal Falls).
- Turn LT on US 183 and proceed north to Liberty Hill following standard directions. (hopefully, you've bypassed some gridlock)
Liberty Hill High School is on SH 29 about a mile or two west of the intersection of SH 29 and US 183. On the LEFT if you're approaching from Austin or Georgetown
